Dell Studio 17 touchscreen laptop review

Wired magazine tested multi-touch PCs in the February issue, but this is the first laptop with a multi-touch screen we've seen. Dell's Studio 17 has a 17-inch, 1,600 x 900-pixel display. The touchscreen is accurate and works well, and is especially fun in Microsoft Surface Globe and paint programs such as Art Rage. Unfortunately, like most touchscreens the Studio 17's display has a slightly grainy texture. There's plenty of contrast, but colours fade towards the bottom of the screen and blacks become grey . . . more
